Second Annual Hawai‘i Wellness Leaders Conference to Feature Mindset’s Dr. Carol Dweck on Nov. 16
– Growth Mindset Helps Organizations and Employees Flourish –
Honolulu, HI (Oct. 27, 2017) – Hawai‘i Health at Work Alliance will present the Second Annual Hawai‘i Wellness Leaders Conference on Nov. 16 with a focus on developing the right mindset for organizational growth and employee wellness.
The keynote address will be presented by Dr. Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D., the world-renowned Stanford University professor who has gained widespread acclaim for her theories on motivation and achievement, laid out in the bestselling book Mindset. After decades of research, the psychology professor determined that teaching individuals a growth mindset paves the way for greater motivation and productivity in many realms – be it the workplace, school or playing field.
Hawai‘i Health at Work Alliance believes that business leaders can significantly improve their employees’ well-being and build a culture of wellness by encouraging a growth mindset.
The Second Annual Hawai‘i Wellness Leaders Conference is from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Nov. 16 at Dole Cannery’s Pomaika‘i Ballrooms.
Dr. Dweck’s keynote, entitled “Develop the Right Mindset and Grow Your Organization,” will be presented at 9 a.m.
“Businesses can definitely encourage a growth mindset in their employees,” said Dr. Dweck. “We can create a culture in which employees dare to embrace challenges and persevere toward new solutions. By fostering the right mindset culture, we can help our people to face new situations with a sense of excitement and to see opportunities for learning even in setbacks and failures.”
Other conference presenters include Dr. David Hunnicutt, former CEO of the national non-profit Wellness Councils of America. Dr. Hunnicutt will share the latest in workplace wellness solutions as he presents on “Why and How Wellness Works: What the Best Do Better.”
