The following Resource Organizations offer a wide range of programs (mostly free) in support of various health and wellness topics:


Aging with Dignity (Advance Health Directive)

Aging with Dignity's mission is to safeguard the human dignity of people as they age or face serious illness. Available for purchase, are Five Wishes booklets which meets the requirements for an advance directive in Hawaii.

AHIP (America's Healthy Insurance Plans) Wellness Smartbrief

AHIP Wellness SmartBrief provides wellness program articles and trends.

Alzheimer’s Association

A world without Alzheimer’s disease and all dementias

American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society has many resources to help people with cancer. They also provide a complete guide to family care giving written by experts in the field.

American Lung Association

The American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through research, education and advocacy. They focus on five strategic imperatives: to defeat lung cancer; to improve the air we breathe; to reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families; to eliminate tobacco use and tobacco-related diseases; and to accelerate fundraising and enhance organizational effectiveness to support the urgency of our mission.

American Diabetes Association

The American Diabetes Association is committed to supporting corporate Hawaii with programs and services tailored to compliment workplace wellness initiatives through their Stop Diabetes @ Work Program. The program consists of educational sessions that may include: Introduction to diabetes, stress management, physical activity, nutrition, cooking and/or meal-prep demos, etc.

American Heart Association

The American Heart Associations' mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. They provide public health education and help people understand the importance of healthy lifestyle choices.

Center for Disease Control and Prevention

The Center for Disease Control provides science-based information to improve the health, safety, and well-being of employees. Through their Workplace Health Program, they work with employer groups and coalitions, state health agencies, academic institutions, and other key groups to develop, set up, and promote effective strategies for improving the health in the work environment.

Child & Family Service

Child and Family Service is a family-centered, full-service nonprofit dedicated to "Strengthening families and fostering the healthy development of children." Through nearly 50 programs statewide, they work with those most in need-meeting them where they are, connecting them with the resources they need, and helping them envision and plan a future in which they can live successfully in the community.

Choose Healthy Now!

Choose Healthy Now is one of the educational campaigns of the Hawaii State Department of Health's Healthy Hawaii Initiative. This campaign focuses on Healthy Vending to increase consumer choice by expanding access to healthy snack and drink options. Employer's Toolkit available.

Corporate Health & Wellness Association

Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hawai`i

The Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hawaii provides education, policy and advocacy to help reduce tobacco.


An independent global fitness resource, DAREBEE has downloadable fitness routines and a video exercise library.

Get Fit Kauai

Get Fit Kauai promotes and facilitates Healthy Eating and Active Living (HEAL) for the Kauai community. They help to educate people about the importance of policy changes as an important foundation to support and promote HEAL.

The Hawai'I Tobacco Quitline provides advice, resources and motivation to help people quit smoking.

Hawaii Bicycling League

The Hawaii Bicycling Leagues strives to enable more people to ride bicycles for health, recreation, and transportation through advocacy, education, and events.

Hawaii 5210

Hawaii 5210 "Let's Go!" is an initiative to promote healthy eating and active living and prevent childhood obesity in Hawaii through a coordinated, collaborative, locally relevant health education campaign.

Hawaii State Department of Health

The Hawaii State Department of Healths' mission is to protect and improve the health and environment for all people in Hawai'I through education, policy and collaboration.

Hawaii Psychological Association

The mission of the Hawai'i Psychological Association is to enhance the quality of life for the people of Hawai'i by encouraging, integrating, applying, and communicating the contributions of Psychology in all of its branches. They seek to strengthen public relations, advocate for a psychologically healthy community, and develops solutions for mental health care.

Ho`okele Health

Ho'okele enables seniors to live well at home by providing personalized home care assistance or helping you to navigate the complex healthcare maze.

Kapi`olani Medical Center

Kapiolani Medical Center is the only hospital in the state with physicians (neonatologists) specializing in newborn care on-site 24 hours a day. They offer the most comprehensive maternity and newborn care in the Pacific Region.

Kokua Mau

Kōkua Mau is Hawaii's Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, a community benefit, nonprofit organization. Kōkua Mau is comprised of individual and organizational champions and supporters from hospitals, education, consumers, insurance, long term care and hospices.

Mental Health of America

Mental Health America is the nation's leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and to promoting the overall mental health of everyone. Their work is driven by their commitment to promote mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, including prevention services for all, early identification and intervention for those at risk, and integrated care and treatment for those who need it, with recovery as the goal.

Mesothelioma Guide

Mesothelioma Guide is a trusted resource in the fight against asbestos-related cancer. It provides up-to-date information about living with mesothelioma, top doctors, treatment options, and much more.

March of Dimes

March of Dimes provides a free, educational workplace wellness program that promotes a family-friendly work environment. Healthy Babie Health Business® is easy to manage, implement and promote, and provides companies with a wealth of information to support employees before, during and after their pregnancy.

National Kidney Foundation

The National Kidney Foundation is dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease. They help those who care for, suffer from, and are at risk of kidney disease.

Paying for Senior Care

Paying for Senior Care's mission is to help individuals plan and implement senior care. The website is designed to help families and caregivers locate information about senior care resources for their loved ones, and to find the public and private programs available to assist in covering the cost of such care.

Tutu's House is locate in Kamuela, Hawaii. It is a place of welcome, health building, and community gathering.
